Laos is a country where the majority of the population practices Buddhism. This religious influence is clearly reflected in the architecture and cultural sites that can be visited there. Apart from Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and often considered the heart of the "land of a million elephants", there is another place full of spirituality and symbolism: the Pak Ou Cave, nicknamed "the cave of a thousand Buddhas".
