ABOUT ME
After completing my studies at the University of Foreign Languages in Hanoi in 2009, I had the privilege of joining the Kampá Tour team as a travel advisor. Thanks to my numerous on-site reconnaissance trips, I have gained a solid knowledge of Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand. My goal is to create unique travel experiences by revealing the hidden treasures of our region, guiding you through extraordinary sites, and helping you savor local culinary delights. I am excited to accompany you on your dream journey in Indochina.
How many times have you traveled to Vietnam, and what attracts you each time?
I can't count how many times I've visited Vietnam so far, and I think even if I dedicated my entire life to adventures there, I would never fully grasp a country as "rich" as Vietnam. With each visit, I am always drawn, touched, and proud of a country that embodies authenticity, breathtaking and diverse landscapes, as well as a rich cultural history.
What are the must-visit destinations in Vietnam that you recommend to tourists?
Vietnam remains a fabulous and extremely diverse country in the eyes of tourists, both in terms of landscapes and culture. There are countless must-visit sites, but let me mention some wonders not to be missed on a trip to Vietnam:
- In the North: the ancient capital city, the high mountains of the north offering breathtaking natural beauty and cultural diversity, Ninh Binh's terrestrial Halong Bay and the maritime Halong Bay.
- In the Central region: Phong Nha National Park, the former imperial city of Hue, the ancient port town of Hoi An, the Central Highlands (including the former English hill station of Da Lat and the capital of the Central Highlands, Buon Me Thuot).
- In the South: the bustling city of Ho Chi Minh, the Mekong Delta, the paradise island of Phu Quoc, the exotic Con Dao Island, and Mui Ne, known for its long white sandy beaches and picturesque orange sand dunes.
Do you have specific recommendations for the duration of stay or travel period for certain destinations?
A duration of 10 to 12 days is sufficient for a panoramic discovery from north to south of Vietnam, but ideally, 15 to 20 days allow for a more varied journey at a more moderate pace.
Due to climate change in recent years, the ideal period, in my opinion, to visit Vietnam extends from late April to May. It's the beginning of summer in the north, with temperatures ranging from 27 to 33 degrees Celsius. In the south, it's the end of the dry season, so it's sunny with clear skies.
As for Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand, a 10-day stay in each country is good for Laos and Cambodia, while 15 to 20 days are recommended for Thailand. I suggest visiting these three countries during the dry season, from November to March. In April, it gets hot, while in summer, they are affected by monsoons.
