FAQ

Frequently asked questions

1. Is 2 weeks in Vietnam enough to experience the country's highlights?

Spending 2 weeks in Vietnam is an ideal amount of time to experience the country's diverse attractions and culture. During this period, you can explore the bustling streets of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, marvel at the natural beauty of Halong Bay, and relax on the stunning beaches of Da Nang. Additionally, you can choose to focus your 2-week itinerary on either the northern, central, or southern regions of Vietnam to fully immerse yourself in the unique experiences each area offers. Whether it's the mountainous landscapes and ethnic cultures of the north, the historical sites of the central region, or the vibrant Mekong Delta in the south, two weeks provide ample opportunity to appreciate the essence of Vietnam.

2. Given the proximity to Vietnam and Cambodia, can we enjoy an extension to Laos or Thailand?

Yes, Thailand and Laos share borders with Cambodia and Vietnam. You can add Laos or Thailand to your trip, but you'll need to extend your journey by at least 5-7 days. You can travel from Cambodia to Laos or Thailand by land or by air, and the same goes for traveling from Vietnam to Laos.

3. Can we start the journey in Cambodia and finish it in Vietnam?

Yes, you can start the journey in Cambodia (in Phnom Penh or Siem Reap) and conclude it in Vietnam (in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City). Our travel advisor will tailor the tour itinerary to your preferences.

4. How to get to Cambodia from Vietnam?

From Vietnam, you can go to Cambodia either by air (a one-hour direct flight from Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City/Da Nang to Siem Reap/Phnom Penh) or by water (traveling up the Mekong River by boat from the southernmost part of Vietnam to Phnom Penh). It is also possible to reach Cambodia by land, but the journey is quite long and tiring.

5. Your website contains several itineraries. Which one is suitable for me?

All our itineraries on the website are divided by duration, based on your preferences, or by regions, allowing you to better target the itinerary that suits you. The choice of the itinerary will depend on your availability and interests. If you are unable to choose a suitable itinerary, please send us an email, indicating the duration of your stay, what you want to see and avoid during the trip, the type of accommodation you prefer, and more. Our travel advisors will create an itinerary tailored to your every wish. Contact us.

6. How many days does a combined Vietnam-Cambodia trip require?

A panoramic visit to both countries will take a minimum of 15 days. After visiting the major sites in Vietnam, you can reach Cambodia either by taking a short direct flight from Ho Chi Minh or by taking a boat from Chau Doc (a border town with Cambodia) to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.

With a few more days or an additional week, you can further explore Vietnam by discovering its still-authentic northern mountains or relaxing on one of its beautiful beaches (Hoi An, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc...) or on a beach in Cambodia (in Sihanoukville and its offshore islands).
