    Program description

Upon arrival at the airport in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be welcomed by our Kampá Tour guide, marking the start of your 3-week dream itinerary in Vietnam and Thailand.

Formerly known as Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city in Vietnam, offering tourists exhilarating experiences for all senses. Known to locals as the “sleepless city,” its bustling city center is vibrant both day and night, with a lively nightlife perfect for those who love bars and parties.

Check in at your hotel and take some time to adjust to the time zone, rest, and get familiar with your new surroundings. Enjoy your first night stay in Ho Chi Minh City.

    Morning:

Explore the underground Cu Chi Tunnels, a historic battlefield from the Indochina War located on the outskirts of the city. Upon arrival, descend into the subterranean world of tunnels stretching over 200 kilometers. These tunnels, with a width of 70 cm and a height of 90 cm, lead to various meeting rooms, kitchens, and even hospitals.

At noon, you'll enjoy a local restaurant lunch before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.

    Afternoon:

    • Keep your energy up as you embark on a half-day city tour, visiting the city's must-see attractions.
    • Your first stop is the Independence Palace, where the Vietnamese Revolutionary Army achieved victory in 1975.
    • Your next destination is Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. These landmarks are prime examples of French architecture in the city.
    • Continue your tour with a visit to the War Remnants Museum, which provides insights into the First Indochina War and the Vietnam War. The museum showcases compelling visuals depicting the futility and devastating effects of the conflicts.
    • As the sightseeing tour concludes, you will be dropped off at your hotel, giving you the freedom to explore the city at night.

NOTE: The Notre Dame Cathedral is currently undergoing renovations until 2027. You may be taken to visit the surrounding areas, such as the street book.

Depart for the Mekong Delta, a unique region that combines both land and water, situated in the southernmost part of Vietnam.

The Mekong River, originating in the immense Himalayan range, traverses five upstream countries in Southeast Asia (China, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos) before finally flowing into the Pacific Ocean within Vietnamese territory. This river has sculpted a vast and fertile delta in the southern region of the country, famously known as the "Mekong Delta."

    • Upon arriving in Cai Be, start your Mekong boat journey. Explore the village and houses on stilts. Visit local workshops to see the production of coconut candy, pop rice, rice wine, and snake wine. Enjoy complimentary samples of these local delicacies and witness the daily life of Mekong locals.
    • Experience a rowing sampan ride with locals and explore the small canals on Tan Phong Islet.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    1. Am I exempt from the visa? If not, how can I obtain it?

You are exempt from needing a visa for Vietnam if you are from countries like the UK, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada, provided your stay does not exceed 45 days. You only need to present a valid passport and a confirmed return flight ticket upon arrival in Vietnam. Here’s a list of visa-exempt countries: the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and select European countries like France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Scandinavian nations.

For those who do not qualify for visa exemption, a visa is mandatory. You have three options to obtain a visa: an E-visa, issued online through the Vietnamese Immigration website; a visa on arrival (available only when applying through an authorized travel agency); or a visa through the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate in your country. We recommend the E-visa or visa on arrival for ease and affordability.
