Glimpse of Cambodia Vietnam and Laos Tour in 2 Weeks

Today promises a full day of exploration at the mystical Angkor Wat. In the morning, your journey will lead you to the awe-inspiring "Great City" of Angkor Thom. Your visits will encompass the renowned Bayon Temple, the Phimeanakas Temple nestled within the Royal Palace enclosure, the striking Baphuon Temple, as well as the enchanting Terraces of the Elephants and the Leper King.

The afternoon is dedicated to the exploration of the most renowned and magnificent Angkor Wat temple. As the day draws to a close, you'll be transported to a delightful restaurant for an evening filled with dinner and a captivating Apsara dance show. Your overnight stay will be at a hotel in Siem Reap, ensuring a restful night before further adventures.

Today you will have the chance to explore other impressive temples:

• Banteay Srey: loosely translates to ‘citadel of the women,’ but this is a modern appellation that probably refers to the delicate beauty of the carvings. It displays some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art.
• Ta Prohm: This quiet, sprawling monastic complex is only partially cleared of jungle overgrowth. Intentionally left partially unrestored, massive fig and silk-cotton trees grow from the towers and corridors offering some of the best ‘tree-in-temple’ photo opportunities at Angkor. Flocks of noisy parrots flit from tree to tree adding to the jungle atmosphere. Continue to visit Mebon temple. Then we take a flight from SiemReap to overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

In the morning, we pass by the hallmarks of the city which used to be called “The Gem of Far East”, Cathedral of Notre Dame which is built by the French in 1880, the first basilica of Vietnam, Central Post Office which is an iconic symbol of Saigon mixing of Gothic, Renaissance and French architecture, Former Catinat Street (now Dong Khoi Street) with a score of restored French buildings, Headquarter of the People’s Committee of Chi Minh City (formerly Central Park) which is considered as the most beautiful colonial building of the city. 

We then continue to visit War Remnants Museum – Ho Chi Minh city’s past during the years of the American-Vietnamese War (1954-1975), Museum of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine to discover traditional Vietnamese medicine dating back more than 3000 years old ago. 

The tour concludes with Cho Lon (Chinatown) with the Temple of the Celestial Lady and Ben Thanh Market - the representative image of Ho Chi Minh City.

In the afternoon, take an excursion to the Cu Chi tunnels in the suburbs of the city. Being the ex-battlefield of the cu chi tunnels Indochina War, Cu Chi is home to an immense network of underground galleries and narrow gutters hand-dug by guerrillas and Vietnamese fighters during the fight against the French and American. 

On arrival, descend underground to discover a picturesque world: tunnels of a length: 200 km, width: 70 cm, height: 90 cm, sheltering several meeting rooms, kitchen rooms, hospitals and so on. Please get ready to get a little dirt under the ground (Note: Casual clothes are highly recommended on this day). Then you travel back and overnight at the hotel in Ho Chi Minh.

In the morning, we embark on a journey to explore the enchanting Mekong Delta. Originating from the lofty Tibetan plateau within the Himalayan ranges, the Mekong River ranks among the world's longest rivers, coursing through multiple Southeast Asian countries before ultimately meeting the sea.

Our first stop is Ben Tre, a charming local village nestled in the heart of the river's northern branch. Here, we embark on a boat trip bound for Mo Cay, renowned for its coconut-based products. To navigate the area, we'll take a ride on a Xe Loi, a motorized cyclo, through the lush expanse of coconut plantations. This path, far from the tourist crowds, leads us along small trails shaded by towering coconut palms, creating a wonderfully picturesque landscape. Along the way, we pause at farms to witness the crafting of delectable sweets and coconut brooms.

The highlight of our journey lies in a serene rowing boat excursion through a network of canals, surrounded by graceful water palms. This allows us to immerse ourselves in the daily rhythms of life in the delta. Following this, we proceed to visit the traditional home of Mr. Van, where we have the pleasure of tasting local specialties prepared by his wife, including coconut jam, honey tea, and pollen, all while engaging in friendly conversation with the local residents.

For lunch, we'll enjoy a delightful meal at a riverside restaurant by the Cai Cam River (at your own expense).

In the afternoon, we return to Ho Chi Minh City, where you'll spend the night.

Catch a morning flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Danang, followed by a scenic drive to Hoi An, a town that exudes charm and history. Hoi An, once a bustling port on Vietnam's Central coast, boasts a rich legacy of ancient architecture and a captivating riverside ambiance that transports visitors back in time. Immerse yourself in the town's enchanting atmosphere and overnight in Hoi An, where you can truly appreciate its unique character.

During this full-day tour of Hoi An, we will explore a variety of fascinating sites:

• Phuc Kien Temple: Although often referred to as an assembly hall, this site is primarily used as a temple. It is dedicated to the goddess who safeguards fishermen and sailors, and it has been maintained by the descendants of Chinese families in Hoi An.
• Phuc Thanh Pagoda: This pagoda is one of the oldest in Hoi An, dating back to 1454. It holds a significant place in the town's history and spirituality.
• Japanese Bridge: Dating back to 1593, this iconic bridge connects the Chinese and Japanese areas within the town and is a symbol of cultural integration.
• Old Alleys and Ancient Houses: Stroll through old alleys and visit historic houses that have borne witness to centuries of Hoi An's history.
• Shops: Discover shops where vibrant silk and traditional lanterns are sold. You might be amazed by the swift service for tailor-made clothing, a rare opportunity to have clothes crafted to your size within just 24 hours.

In the afternoon, we'll venture into the Van Lang fishing village and the Bay Mau coconut forest. Surrounded by meandering canals, lush mangrove forests, and swaying coconut palms, this area retains its authentic charm. As we navigate through rice fields, maize plantations, vibrant gardens, and welcoming hamlets, you'll have the chance to visit handicraft factories and boat-building workshops, providing ample opportunities for beautiful photos and intriguing insights.

Upon reaching the Van Lang village, you'll be greeted by friendly boatmen who will guide you on a basket-boat excursion amidst the river's coconut trees. Take in the stunning scenery, relax, and even try your hand at shrimp-catching techniques before returning to your hotel. Your day concludes with an overnight stay in Hoi An, where you can reflect on the rich experiences of the day.

Departing from Hoi An in the morning, our journey takes us toward Hue, ascending the thrilling Hai Van Pass with its winding roads and breathtaking views of Lang Co Bay.

Upon arriving in Hue, we promptly visit either Gia Long Tomb, the founder of the Nguyen Dynasty, or the tomb of Ming Mang Emperor, known for his numerous royal heirs.

If time permits, we explore the garden houses in Phu Mong village, offering a glimpse of ancient royal heritage and meticulously designed gardens.

Our tour continues with a visit to Thien Mu Pagoda or Tu Hieu Pagoda, followed by Dong Ba Market, the oldest and largest market in Hue.

In the morning, we explore Hue, the last imperial capital of Vietnam, visiting the Imperial City, a massive structure built under the reign of Minh Mang.

In the afternoon, we fly from Hue to Hanoi, the 1000-year-old capital. You might notice the European architectural influence in the city center, once the capital of French Indochina. Depending on your hotel's location, you may pass through the Old Quarter with its historic 36 streets, each named after the goods traditionally produced and sold there. Optionally, visit Ma May Street to see an Ancient Vietnamese House. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure in Hanoi.

In the morning, we depart for Halong Bay by shuttle bus (without a private guide), known as one of Vietnam's most beautiful landscapes and a stunning part of Asia. Halong Bay is located 180 km east of Hanoi, near the Chinese border, covering an area of about 1500 km². It's famous for its thousands of limestone karsts rising from the emerald waters, with magnificent caves eroded by wind and sea over centuries.

Upon arrival, the cruise staff welcomes you, and you'll board a shuttle boat for a short transfer (approximately 5 minutes) to the main cruise. Enjoy a welcome cocktail and complete the check-in process on board.

Lunch is served as the cruise passes by some of the most picturesque locations, including mountains and a floating village. In the afternoon, if weather permits, you can go swimming and kayaking (kayak expenses are separate). Don't miss the opportunity to witness the breathtaking sunset over the bay.

Today, we'll take a flight from Hanoi to Luang Prabang, the second destination in our Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia tour. Luang Prabang is often regarded as the heart of Laotian culture, offering a captivating blend of historical and artistic heritage that reflects the fusion of traditional Lao style with colonial influences. This city is also surrounded by a breathtaking natural landscape, featuring the Mekong River, majestic mountains, enchanting waterfalls, and quaint villages inhabited by diverse ethnic groups.

In the morning, we commence our journey with a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, leading us to the enigmatic Pak Ou Caves. Along the way, we make a stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, known for its local rice wine production. On the return trip, we disembark to visit traditional villages and then take a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village renowned for its exceptional hand weaving.

Upon returning to Luang Prabang, our guide will accompany you to the National Museum, housed in the former Royal Palace. Our exploration continues with a visit to the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun, the sacred shrine of Wat Aham, the city's oldest temple, Wat Sene, and Wat Mai. We also explore these sites and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong.

In the late afternoon, we ascend 329 steps to the summit of Mount Phousi to witness a breathtaking sunset. Afterward, we have the opportunity to explore the Night Market if time allows. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel in Luang Prabang.

We begin the day by visiting the morning Phousi Market, immersing ourselves in the vibrant local atmosphere. Following this, we explore the villages of Lao ethnic minority groups, including Ban Ouay (a Hmong village), Ban Ou (a Laoloum village), and Ban Thapene (a Khmu village).

Our journey continues to the enchanting Khuang Si Waterfall, a magnificent waterfall boasting three tiers that culminate in a 50-meter drop into shallow pools. This natural wonder is surrounded by lush tropical jungle, with cascades reaching heights of up to 5 meters. There are well-marked trails leading to the top of Kuang Si Falls, providing a view of the stream that feeds into the falls. It's advisable to wear appropriate footwear, as the trails can become slippery, particularly during the wet season. Here, you can cool off with a refreshing swim or stroll along the forest trails.
