To fully enjoy the sights and experiences Vietnam has to offer as outlined, you should plan for a minimum of 2 weeks. Allocate approximately 12 days for sightseeing, ensuring you have ample time to explore the diverse regions from north to south. After your sightseeing adventure, allow yourself an additional 2 to 3 days to unwind and relax on one of Vietnam's beautiful beaches.
This itinerary ensures you can immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and bustling cities of Vietnam, followed by well-deserved leisure time by the sea.
Vietnam has a varied climate from north to south due to its different topographies and the length of the country (2000 km from north to south). When one region is humid, cold, or rainy, the other, on the contrary, can be pleasantly sunny. A classic tour from north to south with a beach break during or at the end of the journey can be done throughout the year. If you travel in winter and spring (from November to April), it is recommended to spend your beach stay in the southern part of the country, such as Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Con Dao, or Phu Quoc. If you travel in summer and autumn (from May to October), the beaches of Da Nang and Hoi An will be suitable.
Yes, you can either have a beach break in Vietnam (on the beaches of Hoi An, Nha Trang, or Phu Quoc) or in Cambodia (beaches in Sihanoukville and its offshore islands).
Yes, you can certainly add a beach stay to your trip. Vietnam has several beautiful beaches in the central and southern regions of the country, including Da Nang, Hoi An, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, and Phu Quoc.
An extension to Cambodia or Laos is also possible due to the proximity of these two countries to Vietnam. From the North, you can travel to Laos by land or air. From the South, you can reach Cambodia by traveling up the Mekong River by boat. Please contact us for more information.
Each train cabin is equipped with 4 soft berths. The amenities are located outside the cabins and are shared. The trains may experience vibrations and have a speed of only 50 to 60 km/hour. While the trains in our country are less comfortable than those in Europe, a night on the train will provide you with an experience of this type of local transportation.
Vietnamese cuisine is incredibly diverse and delicious. With a gastronomic variety from North to South, you can find many tasty specialties. Each region has its own unique flavors and local dishes. Here is a list of dishes not to miss according to the region:
- In the North: During your stay in Hanoi, be sure to try Pho (beef rice noodle soup), Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwich), Vietnamese spring rolls (Nem), and the legendary Egg Coffee, a Hanoi specialty.
- In the Central region: You must taste Bun Bo Hue, considered "one of the best soups in the world," and Cao Lau in Hoi An.
- In the South, the Mekong Delta region is renowned for its Vietnamese pancake, Banh Xeo.
