In a move to enhance visitor access and ease travel planning, Angkor Park has announced new, simplified entry requirements for 1-day tickets. Stay tuned for details on how these updates will impact your visit to one of the world's most cherished historical treasures.
No More Personal Information Required: From September 2024, foreign tourists buying 1-day tickets will no longer need to provide personal information such as photos, nationality, age group, or gender. This update simplifies the process, allowing tourists to purchase tickets quickly without the need for these details.
Photography Requirement Remains for 2024: Visitors purchasing 3-day or 7-day tickets will still need to provide a photograph until the end of 2024. This requirement will remain in place for extended tickets but will be reviewed in future updates.
The Angkor Institute will remove requirements for photos, nationality, age, and gender for 1-day entry tickets starting in late September 2024 to promote tourism. This decision, made at a meeting of the Board of Directors of Angkor on August 27, 2024, was led by Deputy Prime Minister Aun Porn Moniroth.
The primary goal of this policy is to ease entry for tourists, reduce wait times, and improve the overall visitor experience at Angkor. By eliminating the need for personal details like photos, nationality, age group, and gender, the process becomes faster and more efficient.
