It is entirely possible to add an extension to Cambodia or Laos to this trip, given the proximity of these two countries to Vietnam. From the North, you can travel to Laos by land or air. From the South, you can navigate up the Mekong River by boat to reach Cambodia. However, it will be necessary to extend the duration of the trip by at least an additional 3 to 5 days. Please contact us for more information.
It is entirely possible to add a beach break to this 15-day trip without extending its duration. Vietnam has beautiful beaches in the central and southern regions of the country, such as Da Nang, Hoi An, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, and Phu Quoc. However, you will need to make slight modifications to the itinerary to allow for one or two free days to enjoy the beach.
15 days is the ideal duration to explore Vietnam's must-visit sites without rushing. Such a timeframe will allow you to appreciate some of the country's most beautiful and iconic landscapes, including those of Halong Bay, Tam Coc, the stunning mountains and terraced rice fields inhabited by various ethnic minorities, as well as the lush Mekong Delta.
Certainly, we offer hotels and resorts that are situated directly on the beaches. This will allow you to fully enjoy your stay and relax to the fullest.
The recommended beach resorts depend on the time of your trip. As mentioned in the previous response, if you're traveling during the winter and spring (from November to April), we suggest Nha Trang, Phu Yen, and Vung Tau, which are beach resorts located on the southeast coast of the country. Alternatively, you can choose Con Dao or Phu Quoc, two islands located on the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Thailand, respectively. If you're traveling during the summer and autumn (from May to October), the beaches in Da Nang and Hoi An would be perfect choices.
To fully enjoy the sights and experiences Vietnam has to offer as outlined, you should plan for a minimum of 2 weeks. Allocate approximately 12 days for sightseeing, ensuring you have ample time to explore the diverse regions from north to south. After your sightseeing adventure, allow yourself an additional 2 to 3 days to unwind and relax on one of Vietnam's beautiful beaches.
This itinerary ensures you can immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and bustling cities of Vietnam, followed by well-deserved leisure time by the sea.
Vietnam has a varied climate from north to south due to its different topographies and the length of the country (2000 km from north to south). When one region is humid, cold, or rainy, the other, on the contrary, can be pleasantly sunny. A classic tour from north to south with a beach break during or at the end of the journey can be done throughout the year. If you travel in winter and spring (from November to April), it is recommended to spend your beach stay in the southern part of the country, such as Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Con Dao, or Phu Quoc. If you travel in summer and autumn (from May to October), the beaches of Da Nang and Hoi An will be suitable.
