The long-awaited “Museum Night 2023” initiative launched by the Thai government aims to rekindle cultural fervor. From December 15th to 24th, the festival invites the public to explore the country’s 48 museums under the bewitching charm of the night.

According to Karom Polpornklang, deputy government spokesperson, the festival seeks to strengthen Thailand’s cultural soft power by having everyone experience a nighttime museum adventure.

The goal is to transform 25 museums in Bangkok and 23 more in the provinces into captivating nighttime attractions. A collaboration between the National Discovery Museum Institute and Museum Thailand network, the festival aspires to deepen the public's understanding of Thai history, society, lifestyle, identity, natural resources, nature, and science.
