Da Nang International Fireworks Festival and its Highlights

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) is an annual cultural and tourism event, first held in 2008. Over the years, the festival has become a symbol of Da Nang’s summer tourism, attracting millions of visitors each season.

Since 2017, DIFF has expanded in scale and boosted its reputation, welcoming top international teams for spectacular fireworks competitions.

This year, the festival not only reflects integration and development, but also incorporates modern technologies, blending sound and light effects to create a unique experience. The fireworks viewing area will be expanded, allowing visitors to enjoy the grand spectacle in the sky from several ideal vantage points.

In addition to the main performances, the festival will feature many side events and unique tourism experiences for visitors, further affirming its status as one of the world’s most prestigious fireworks festivals.

Location and Competition Schedule

This year’s Da Nang International Fireworks Festival will be held on the eastern bank of the Han River, with the main grandstands located on the western bank. With a spacious setup and the scenic Han River as a backdrop, this location is ideal for watching the most stunning fireworks.

The festival will include 6 official competition nights, each with a specific theme:

Night 1 (May 31): Cultural Elites – Vietnam 1 (Da Nang) vs. Finland
Night 2 (June 7): The Art of Creativity – Vietnam 2 (Z121) vs. Poland
Night 3 (June 14): Journey of Connection – Canada vs. China
Night 4 (June 21): Sustainable Development – Portugal vs. United Kingdom
Night 5 (June 28): Technology as a Guide – South Korea vs. Italy
Finale (July 12): Welcoming a New Era – The top two teams
