New direct Vietnam-Europe flight by Vietnam Airlines from June 2026: A safe, affordable option!

The national carrier Vietnam Airlines announces the opening of a new direct route between Hanoi and Amsterdam, which is scheduled to launch on June 16, 2026.

Operated with three round-trip flights per week by Airbus A350, this new route marks the first direct air connection between Vietnam and the Netherlands. The journey time will thus be reduced to around 12 hours, non-stop.

But beyond the time savings, it’s also the pricing that grabs attention. According to the initial availability listed on the company’s official website, one-way tickets are available from around $400, a particularly competitive rate for a direct long-haul flight.

This new route is therefore an interesting alternative for European travelers wishing to travel to Vietnam without going through the hubs of the Middle East, which are often associated with longer waiting times and more tiring journeys.

With this new route, Vietnam Airlines strengthens its European network, which will now include 12 direct routes to eight destinations, including Paris, Frankfurt, London, and Milan.

In a context of strong growth in trade between Europe and Southeast Asia, this new line should not only facilitate tourist travel, but also support trade and logistics flows between the two regions.
