1. Fly to Chiang Mai

There are many daily flights from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. Simply choose one that fits your budgetary needs and schedule. Then, from Chiang Mai airport opt for a minivan or a bus. If you’re feeling like spending, you can even book a private transfer.

• Direct Bus: There are daily buses available from Bangkok, however, if you’re on a tight schedule this isn’t recommended. While the route takes you across many different scenic areas of Thailand, the entire journey will take 10-12 hours.
