2. When Are The Best Times To Visit?
Mondulkiri experiences three seasons annually. The ideal time to visit depends on your preferences, but the best period is from October to February when the weather is cooler and humidity is manageable.
Dry/Cool Season (November - February):
During this season, cold winds dry out the hills, leading to dusty roads. It's perfect for exploring with pleasant temperatures, clear skies, and beautiful scenery, especially at the Bou Sraa waterfall. Nights in Sen Monorom can be windy and cold.
Hot Season/Summer (March - June):
The weather warms up in March, with the first "mango rains" appearing. The hills turn green again between March and April, adorned with seasonal flowers, making it the best time for bird watching.
Rainy/Wet Season (July - October):
The rainy season brings lush greenery, transforming waterfalls into spectacular sights. Hiking is ideal during this time, offering the best chances of spotting wildlife, especially in July and early August, with sunny days and generally rainy evenings.
