The American travel magazine Travel & Leisure has released a list of the top 5 restaurants and 2 bars in Vietnam, guiding travelers on where to go for the best dining and entertainment. Selection criteria include new openings, luxury, and chefs and bartenders who consistently receive "excellent" reviews or top ratings. All seven of these spots are located in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the list, two Southeast Asian boring tourist attractions made the cut. These are Hanoi's Thang Long Water Puppet Theater and Penang's Fort Cornwallis.
