Bound by rivers, faith, and centuries of shared history, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand reflect the timeless charm of Indochina. Journey through landscapes that shift from rice terraces and ancient temples to tropical islands and bustling markets. Along the way, discover a living heritage that is graceful, spiritual, and welcoming, defining the true spirit of Southeast Asia.
Shared roots, distinct identities: once part of French Indochina (except Thailand, the only nation never colonized), all four share Buddhist traditions while maintaining unique languages, cuisines, and lifestyles.
Easy connections: short flights and overland routes link Hanoi, Luang Prabang, Siem Reap, and Bangkok, making multi-country journeys seamless.
Spiritual and cultural harmony: from ancient pagodas to colorful markets and floating villages, each country reflects the spirit of Southeast Asia.
A journey rich in history, flavor, and heart: cruise through Ha Long Bay, wander Angkor’s ruins, drift along the Mekong, and unwind on Thailand’s golden beaches.
1. Do all of these tours include Laos, and can we change the route?
No, only some do: our 21-day tour from Luang Prabang and our 21-day tour from Hanoi cover all four countries, while the others on this page combine Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand without Laos, so check the destination list under each tour. Every trip is private, so there are no fixed departures: if you want Laos and the itinerary you like does not include it, we can add Luang Prabang or Vientiane, usually three or four extra days, and you can also change the order of the countries or the standard of hotels.
2. How many days do we need to cover all four countries?
Three weeks is the realistic length for all four, because Luang Prabang deserves at least three nights and the flights between countries take up time of their own. Eighteen to twenty-one days is enough for Vietnam from north to south, the Angkor temples and Bangkok with the northern hills around Chiang Mai, as on our 18-day tour. Fourteen days is the practical minimum for three countries, and below two weeks we would drop a country rather than compress them all.
3. When is the best time to travel across these four countries?
November to March is the window that works across all four. Cambodia and Laos are in their dry season, northern Laos is at its best from November to March, the north of Thailand from November to February and the Andaman coast from November to March. In Vietnam, March and April offer the most balanced weather from north to south, while October and November can bring heavy rain to central Vietnam. The rainy months still work, with short showers, greener landscapes, lower prices and fewer people at the main sites.
4. How do you travel between the countries?
Mostly by air, because the distances are long: Hanoi to Luang Prabang takes about an hour and a quarter, Hanoi to Bangkok about two hours and Siem Reap to Bangkok about an hour, while direct flights between Siem Reap and Luang Prabang run only in the main season. The land border between Cambodia and Thailand has been closed to travellers since June 2025, so those two countries are linked by air only. Within Vietnam we use Vietnam Airlines or Bamboo Airways rather than low-cost carriers, with allowances typically of 7 to 12 kg hand luggage and 20 to 23 kg checked, confirmed with your final itinerary.
5. Do we need visas for the four countries?
Each country has its own rules, so check every one on your route. For Vietnam, citizens of the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and several other countries enter without a visa for up to 45 days, while citizens of the United States, Canada and Australia need an e-visa. For Thailand, citizens of 60 countries and territories, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, enter without a visa for up to 30 days from 15 September 2026, and everyone must complete the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card within three days before each arrival. For Cambodia and Laos, most nationalities need a visa, on arrival or online, and both countries ask arriving travellers to complete an online arrival card. We help with these procedures, but rules change, so please confirm the position for your own passport before booking flights.
6. How is the price calculated and what does it include?
Quoted prices are based on a group of four travellers staying in standard hotels, and they do not include international flights. Because the trips are private, the final price depends on when you travel, the category of hotels you choose and above all the size of your group: the same itinerary costs less per person for six than for two. On a route crossing three or four countries the internal flights make up a large share of the total, so the dates and the order of the countries affect the price more than on a single-country trip. Send us your dates and group size and we will put together a detailed quote.

What our customers say about us
Hello,
We would like to share our complete satisfaction with our guide, Long, who accompanied us during the first week of our trip to Vietnam.
It’s our first time in Vietnam, and from the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a warmth that we will never forget.
This trip has been wonderful, especially on an emotional and human level. We met people with extraordinary kindness and sincerity, and that is what we will carry most dearly in our hearts from Vietnam. 😍
Throughout our journey, we met some fantastic guides: Hay in Hanoi, Lap in Bac Ha and Sapa, which became one of our favorite places, and Lan in Hoi An. Each of them helped us discover something special about Vietnam: its history, culture, heritage, and everyday life.
Now that we’re back in Milan, we’d like to sincerely thank you and the entire Kampá Tour team for this magnificent two-week trip.
Everything contributed to making this trip a true success: breathtaking landscapes, delicious cuisine, knowledgeable and passionate guides, perfectly organized transfers, well-chosen activities, and a well-balanced itinerary. The hotels were also excellent, especially the Nahm Village and the Ancient House Hue!
