There is no airport on the island; the closest one is in Trat, about 52 kilometers from the ferry terminal to Koh Kood. No train serves this region of Thailand, so there is no direct rail link between Bangkok and Koh Kood. The best means of transport to reach Bangkok from Koh Kood are by bus, taxi with ferry, or private transfer with ferry.

You can choose a bus trip, taking about 5 to 6 hours from Mo Chit or Ekkamai bus stations. Alternatively, opt for a private car ride of about 5 hours to the port of Laem Sok in Trat. From there, the ferry takes about 2 hours to reach Ao Salad Pier in Koh Kood.

Whichever option you choose, it is essential to note that the last ferry leaves from Trat, the terminal for Koh Kood, around 2:30 PM. Therefore, it is recommended to leave Bangkok early in the morning to ensure boarding the ferry. It is also wise to check flight and ferry schedules in advance, as they can vary by season.
