8 Must-Do Experiences at Da Nang New Year Festival 2026

The festival, organized by the Da Nang Department of Tourism and city agencies, aims to enrich tourism experiences, boost local services, and create a vibrant New Year atmosphere. 

The festival is held at the East Side Park of Dragon Bridge, Bach Dang Walking Street, Hoi An, Tam Thanh Beach Park, 24/3 Square, and various other locations throughout the city.

1. The New Year 2026 check-in model series

These spaces serve as vibrant highlights, creating a sparkling festive atmosphere where visitors can enjoy and capture memorable moments. There are four unique check-in spaces:

• Radiant Christmas Space (located at the northern landscape platform on the East Side of Dragon Bridge) – Featuring a 20-meter Christmas tree, color-changing LEDs, and festive miniatures.
• New Year Melody Space (located at the northern landscape platform on the West Side of Dragon Bridge) – Trumpet-inspired installations forming a vibrant “symphony” scene.
• Hoi An Colors Space – A display of vibrant traditional lanterns at An Hoi Sculpture Garden on Nguyen Phuc Chu Street.
• Golden Da Nang Space – A 3D “I ♥ Da Nang” installation with yellow floral motifs at 24/3 Square.

2. Da Nang Beach Check-in Models

Da Nang will give its beach tourism a fresh new look with a series of check-in installations placed along the city’s most popular beaches. 

These spaces are designed in a youthful, modern style, highlighting the unique beauty of each beach. There are five main locations: 

• East Sea Park, An Hai Ward
• Ha Khe Square, Thanh Khe Ward
• Tam Thanh Beach, Quang Phu Ward
• Cua Dai Beach, Hoi An Dong Ward
• An Bang Beach, Hoi An Tay Ward

3. Da Nang – Welcome New Year 2026 Avenue

This signature event transforms Bach Dang Walking Street into a vibrant “creative festival avenue,” blending sound, light, and art to welcome the new year. 

Along the avenue, visitors can explore three open artistic spaces: 

• New Year Dance: Energetic hip-hop, zumba, and dancesport performances.
• New Year Colors: Interactive zone with wish-writing, lantern activities, street magic, and photo spots.

3. Opening Ceremony & Art Performances

The festival opens with artists, singers, bands, and dancers performing on stage, accompanied by modern sound, lighting, and visual effects, creating a lively and festive atmosphere to welcome the New Year 2026.

4. “Lighting Up the Han River – Run to the Future” Race

This first-ever night run in Da Nang invites participants on a 5 km route across iconic city landmarks, offering stunning river views and a lively countdown atmosphere. 

All runners — domestic or international, professional or amateur — can enjoy an energetic sports experience, immerse themselves in the festive spirit, and welcome 2026 in a healthy and exciting way.

5. The Cheer Fest – Connecting Joy culinary space
