Hi Kampa Tour I'm planning a trip to Vietnam in early November and am currently gathering some ideas. I've come across conflicting information about the weather in Phu Quoc during August. Google mentions some rain but also suggests it's a good time to visit. What's your take on it? Does it usually rain in short bursts or are there prolonged storms? I understand the weather can vary each year, but Google's information has left me a bit confused! Could you also recommend the nicest beach and any good hotels? I'm interested in villas with a pool or high-end hotels, as it's my husband's 50th birthday, and I want to make it special. Thanks, Kelly

Hi Kelly! Thank you for reaching out with your question about traveling to Phu Quoc in August. I'd be delighted to assist you in planning a memorable trip for your husband's 50th birthday. Weather in Phu Quoc in August Phu Quoc has a tropical monsoon climate, and August is part of the rainy season (May to October). You can expect frequent rain, usually in short bursts rather than long storms. These showers often happen in the late afternoon or evening, so there’s still plenty of time for outdoor activities during the day. The weather can be unpredictable, so it’s good to be prepared for occasional rain.

Nicest Beaches in Phu Quoc:

  • Long Beach (Bai Truong)
  • Sao Beach (Bai Sao)
