ABOUT ME

Hello, I am The Anh Vu, travel advisor at Vietnam Découverte. Having in my heart the desire to introduce foreigners to the exceptional beauty of the Indochinese countries and especially that of Vietnam, I am committed to bringing you unforgettable trips. If you are looking for imposing landscapes, diverse and impressive gastronomy, contact with locals or off-the-beaten-track experiences, join me on this adventure and let me guide you through Indochina for memorable moments.

Why did you choose to specialize in travel to Vietnam and Indochina?
During my university years, I had the chance to travel to several Vietnamese regions with French volunteer interns. Seeing them deeply impressed by the beauty of Vietnam was an inspiring experience. Their joy and wonder encouraged me to become a travel advisor, in order to share these magical moments with other French speakers. I desire to create tours that go beyond expectations, offering an authentic immersion in Indochinese culture and sparking memories as precious as those experienced with my friends.

What is your most loved site in Vietnam?
Pu Luong is my favorite site in Vietnam because of its unspoiled natural beauty and authentic atmosphere. Nestled between the mountains, this place offers breathtaking rice terraces, lush valleys and traditional villages where daily life goes on peacefully. Immersion in local culture, warm encounters with locals and hiking opportunities provide a unique experience, allowing visitors to connect deeply with nature and traditional Vietnamese life. Pu Luong embodies for me the quintessence of natural beauty and authenticity, making each visit an unforgettable adventure.

What are your top recommendations for trying Vietnamese cuisine?
Start by tasting phở, emblem of the North, a fragrant rice noodle soup, usually accompanied by beef or chicken. Continuing towards the Center, don't miss the flavors of bánh xèo, a crispy pancake topped with shrimp and vegetables, as well as those of bún bò Huế, a spicy rice noodle and beef soup. In the South of Vietnam, I recommend enjoying bún thịt nướng, a delicious rice vermicelli salad accompanied by grilled meat, fresh herbs and peanuts. This Southern specialty is appreciated for its balanced blend of tastes and its freshness. Choose chè for dessert and let your taste buds be lulled by its sweet flavors; thus, your gastronomic experience in Vietnam will be complete. Enjoy your food!
