The day after Asahna Bucha is known as Wan Khao Phansa, marking the beginning of the three-month “Phansa” retreat period during the rainy season when monks traditionally stay within their temple grounds. This retreat is sometimes called the "Buddhist Lent".

Krachiao Flower Fields 2024
Location: Pa Hin Ngam National Park and Sai Thong National Park, Chaiyaphu
I recommend visiting Chaiyaphum Province in northeastern Thailand to see the beautiful landscape created by the Siam tulip – or Dok Krachiao – which blooms fully every year at the start of the rainy season, from June to August. Tourists wishing to visit the park must first purchase their entrance ticket through the QueQ app before arriving at the park entrance. The park is open daily from 06:00 to 18:00.
